The Rhode Island School of Design has selected EW Burman to serve as the construction manager for the restoration of the William Dunnell House. Described by the Rhode Island Historical Preservation Commission as “one of the best shingle-style houses in the state”, and “one of the East Side’s architectural gems,” the Dunnell House is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is therefore of architectural, esthetic, cultural and historic significance.The project consists of replacing the majority of the buildings windows, painting and staining of exterior surfaces, wood siding and trim repairs, masonry restoration, new ceramic tile in the bathrooms and replacement of all of the existing bathroom plumbing fixtures.
